Description

The DATEQ SPL-2 is a microcontroller-controlled sound level limiter for installed audio systems. It continuously monitors the incoming line-level signal and applies attenuation when the configured threshold is exceeded, helping maintain the calibrated maximum sound level while preserving musical dynamics.

The SPL2 operates without a measurement microphone. Adjustable input sensitivity and output attenuation allow the installer to configure the unit for the sound system. Once calibrated, the controls and connections can be sealed to prevent unauthorised adjustments.

Balanced stereo XLR connections and a compact 19-inch rack format make the SPL2 suitable for permanent installations.
