Lenroc Entertainment recently installed a complete audio solution at Woodlands International College in Boksburg, equipping their large school hall with premium sound tailored for their production needs. The system featured equipment from FBT and JTS Professional, supplied by South African distributor, StageOne.

After an initial site visit, Lenroc Entertainment’s Cornel Potgieter quickly identified that the venue required a robust sound system. “The large hall needed a solution with exceptional clarity and substantial headroom,” Potgieter explained. “Audio levels also needed to be limited so that the system wouldn’t run at full capacity or anywhere near its peak.”
After evaluating several brands, Potgieter chose FBT. “The directionality was superb, and the midrange clarity was incredible—something not easy to find in other systems,” said Potgieter.

Woodlands College’s hall measures approximately 65 meters in length and over 10 meters in height. To ensure optimum coverage and power, the installation included a Muse210LA active line array (three cabinets per side), complemented by two Muse218SA dual 18-inch subwoofers, ensuring exceptional low-end power. Additionally, three FBT X-Pro112MA stage monitors were installed for performers.

The audio system was further enhanced with eight JTS headset microphone sets, complemented by JTS diversity antennas and an antenna combiner. To effectively manage the entire system, Lenroc integrated an FBT management system, primarily used to provide safes for users and limit audio levels.

An Allen & Heath SQ series digital console, paired with an AR stagebox, was selected for flexible and easy audio management and distribution.
