Reflections on the Journey: A Speech by Owner Peter Berry
Owner Peter Berry delivered an emotive speech from a balcony, reflecting on the company’s journey, the challenges overcome, and the visions for the future. The journey started in the 1970s as a TV Repair Shop on Lois Botha Ave, Orange Grove. A pivotal moment arrived in 1982 when Peter, together with his friend Anthony Chavkin, decided to expand the business into a formidable TV spares and electronics components shop.
Evolution into Professional AV Distribution
Entering a new phase in 2001, TV Audio began distributing Skytronic’s range of sound, lighting, and accessories. Following this, Peter assumed complete control of TV Audio, guiding it to its current stature as a respected distributor of reliable professional audio, lighting, and AV brands.
Unveiling the Future: The Birth of StageOne
The 40th Anniversary provided the perfect opportunity to align the company’s identity more accurately with its core business. The new brand, StageOne, was revealed amidst an enthralling performance of sound, fire, and light. Berry expressed his belief that the new name perfectly encapsulates the company’s direction, expertise, and excellence in product availability, customer service, and problem-solving.
